Cargo Italia Starts Operations from Dhaka

Cargo Italia, one of Europe’s leading freighter carrier airlines, made their first scheduled freighter from Bangladesh in June. Represented by One World Aviation, sister concern of MGH Group, Cargo Italia will be the first scheduled freighter with straight flights from Bangladesh to Europe. Every year approximately 80,000 tons of cargo goes out from Bangladesh, of which about 40% goes to Europe alone. Export volume from Bangladesh to Europe in air has increased by nearly 15% from last year. The launch of Cargo Italia will serve our exporters better, more efficiently as they can have their cargo delivered within a day to Italy, and by the next day to most other destinations in Europe. It is worth noting that Italy is the third largest market in Europe for the size and dimension of all air shipment. Cargo Italia has expressed that if there is considerable demand, it would be keen to fly in bigger aircrafts with more capacity in the future.

MGH Group Launches Operations in Tuticorin

The 6th office of MGH Group in India was recently opened in Tuticorin. The feeder port has the shortest transit time to Colombo. And its proximity to the knitwear hub of India – Tirupur, Coimbatore, Karur, and Erode – places it at a geographically advantageous position in the subcontinent for freight forwarding enterprises. The port handles a volume of approximately 200,000 TEUs every year with garments accounting for the bulk of the shipment volume. After the Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Tirupur operations, Tuticorin is another step towards MGH’s business expansion in the Indian sub-continent.
