Galileo Bangladesh, the national distribution company of Travelport (a GDS company, headquartered in Langley, UK, is listed in the New York Stock Exchange and established in 1971) has a total of 900 travel agencies onboard, a wholly owned subsidiary of MGH Group which started its operation in the early 2000. The company rapidly spread its wings from capital city Dhaka to other cities like Chittagong, Feni, Sylhet & Moulovi Bazar. Being the third entrant, the company is currently enjoying the market leadership position, holding more than 40% market share out of four GDS operators in Bangladesh since 2004.

Galileo Nepal operations started in the year 2005. As a 3rd entrant Galileo Nepal is currently enjoying 45% of the market share with leadership position for the last five years. More than 400 travel agencies are using Galileo, which are mostly located in Kathmandu with a few in Pokhra. Galileo Nepal achieved the award for the most developed GDS market in APAC region in 2014.

Galileo Mauritius operations started around March 2007 and is currently used by 70 travel agencies in all major cities of Mauritius. The office is located in Port Louis and is currently holding strong foothold in the market. Galileo Mauritius has started Joint Promotion with Air Mauritius (national flag carrier) in April 2015 which is the first time in GDS history of Mauritius. Galileo is targeting to achieve 40% market share by the end of this year.

Galileo Kazakhstan operations started in the year 2010, as a 3rd entrant in a corporate and consolidator based market. Currently we have offices in Almaty and Astana and focusing on OTA based travel agencies in the market to gain market share.

Galileo Nigeria operations started in the year 2011 by taking over existing NDC market and currently we are enjoying around 22% market share of GDS business. This is one of the most growing GDS markets in African region and we are fully capitalizing the growth by expanding our distribution network. We have six full-fledged offices covering all major cities in Nigeria which includes Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano. Galileo Nigeria has a total of 800 travel agencies in its portfolio.
